In 2024, Black and Gold of Jax Beaches continued to thrive — not just as a fan club, but as a family. The cheers are louder, the crowd is bigger, and the bond is stronger than ever.
But we’ve grown beyond the game itself. In recent seasons, we’ve embraced opportunities to give back, support local causes, and celebrate milestones within our group — birthdays, recoveries, military service, and even lifelong fandom legacies passed from one generation to the next. What we’ve created is more than just a space to watch football; it’s a support system, a celebration of Pittsburgh pride, and a reflection of what it means to belong.
In January 2025, we made a defining decision that would solidify the next chapter of our journey: to step out from the shadow of First Coast Black and Gold – Beaches and fully embrace our evolved identity as the Black and Gold of Jax Beaches. This change was more than a rebrand — it reflected who we had become.
Over the years, we had grown from a satellite group into a strong, unified fan family with its own traditions, voice, and presence. The new name wasn’t just about geography; it was about ownership, pride, and purpose. It was a declaration of fortitude — the inner strength we demonstrated by weathering uncertain seasons, pandemic setbacks, and even debuting our new identity on the heels of a bitter playoff loss to our rivals, the Baltimore Ravens. Still, we stood tall. That moment became a symbol of our resilience: no defeat could define us, and no setback could silence the spirit we had built together. With our new name, we honored the past, owned the present, and boldly stepped into the future — as the Black and Gold of Jax Beaches.
Despite unveiling our new identity in the shadow of a tough playoff loss to the Baltimore Ravens, we stood tall. That loss didn’t break us — it reminded us of who we are: resilient, united, and proud to wave the Terrible Towel, no matter the scoreboard.
These strong traits are manifested here in our first group picture after we officially stamped our club’s name to Black and Gold of Jax Beaches.
We were looking forward to 2025, with the clear vision: to keep building, keep welcoming, and keep waving the Terrible Towel high. Our long-term plan was to deepen community involvement, host spirited events, and create lasting memories for every fan who joined us along the way. Because while our story began with fate and was tested by trials, today, it is fueled by purpose — and we have only begun.
